A few notes regarding everything posted today.

The performance list will have a listing of every rating that each individual athlete has run. These will be updated on a weekly basis. The performance lists have several filters to make it easier to find the athlete you are looking for.

There are three different leaderboards posted: Seasonal Rating, Highest Rating, and Team Average. The highest rating is self-explanatory, this is a list of the highest rating an athlete has achieved during the year. An athlete’s seasonal rating is a combination of all the ratings an athlete has earned during the year. The seasonal rating puts an emphasis on the most recent ratings to give an idea of where an athlete stacks up based on current performance. Over the next few weeks, you may see some big changes in seasonal ratings, but they eventually level out for the most part.  Team Average is an average of the 5 best seasonal ratings from each school. I added this leaderboard to make it a little easier to compare teams instead of having to look through individual athletes from each school. One thing to keep in mind is that a team could have a higher average than another but still be ranked behind a team with a lower average. It all depends on the finishing place. All these leaderboards will be filterable by class, conference, and regional and sectional once assigned.

For the rankings let me first say that these are not my opinion. I simply post what the computer gives me. I do the rankings based on seasonal ratings. I pull all the teams in each class and then filter the teams down until I am left with the top 30 teams. The rankings are scored as if it were a meet so you can get an idea of where school could possibly finish. These rankings are going to fluctuate a bit in the next few weeks as more meets are run. The point is to get an idea where you stand. Through the coming weeks I may put the full breakdown of individuals on each of the teams like the picture below. if that is something that you all want to see. Please let me know in the comments of the blog.
